/ / Chưa được phân loại

With the advent of digital technologies many of our traditional ways of learning and working are being replaced. This is happening both outside and inside the classroom. It is clear that a new paradigm of learning is needed to be established. How can this be achieved? It’s not just about the creation of digital infrastructures to support learning but will also be necessary to tackle the fundamental issues of what education and learning are to be in the future.

This article discusses how to make learning a vital part of the modern age, drawing upon the contributions of teachers and researchers from all over the globe. This article is aimed at learners (including parents and students) teachers and curriculum developers, as well as researchers and technology experts in the field of learning sciences.

There are a myriad of opinions on what education in the digital age should be. However, there is a general consensus that we must support the co-evolution between learning and the latest technology of communication. This means exploring new possibilities for radically different conceptions of education and for the development of innovative new practices which can be supported by modern communication technologies.

One of the biggest challenges is that most current uses of new technologies in learning remain a form of “gift wrapping” (Fischer 1998). These technologies are utilized as an addition to existing frameworks, such as instructionism memorization, fixed curriculum and decontextualized learning. Many comparative studies employ a face-toface setting as a baseline. This limits the scope of study to tasks and functions that are only available digitally.
